About Christopher

A Principled Conservative for Iowa

Christopher Prosch is a dedicated husband, father, and accomplished businessman with a deep commitment to faith, family, and the conservative principles that have made Iowa great. Shaped by a rural upbringing and a strong work ethic, Christopher is prepared to bring his commonsense, solutions-oriented approach to the Iowa State Senate. He understands the challenges facing Sioux City and is ready to fight for a more prosperous future for our community and state.

A Family Man, Rooted in Faith

Christopher and his wife, a Sioux City native and former teacher, chose to plant their family’s roots in Iowa, drawn by faith and a love for their local church. They are the proud parents of two young sons, Grant and Lincoln. Christopher’s commitment to his family is paramount, and he is dedicated to raising his children in a loving, strict Christian home—an experience he is passionate about providing for them.

His Christian faith is the cornerstone of his life and is paramount in his decision-making. Christopher believes that leaders should be guided by the principles found in the Bible and the Constitution.

Community Leadership and Service

Christopher believes in servant leadership and actively gives back to his community. The Prosch family attends Cornerstone church, where Christopher volunteers his time as an usher, a tutor for college students, and a mentor with Trail Life, a Christian alternative to the Boy Scouts.

A Businessman, Not a Politician

Christopher Prosch is not a career politician; he is a successful entrepreneur who has seen firsthand how burdensome taxes and regulations can hinder growth. After years of working in politics for various state parties and candidates, Christopher grew frustrated with politicians who lacked conviction. He stepped away to build his own media management company from the ground up. His firm works with podcasters and radio and TV networks to help them grow their audience and secure sponsorships.
Running a business has given Christopher a unique perspective on the challenges facing our state. He understands the pressures of the marketplace and has developed a “concierge mindset,” always ready to serve his clients—a skill he is eager to bring to the Iowa Senate to serve his constituents. He knows that for Sioux City to compete with neighboring communities in South Dakota and Nebraska, Iowa must eliminate its income tax and create an economic environment where businesses and families can thrive.

Christopher's Plan for Iowa

Christopher Prosch is a principled, common sense conservative who will fight for the values that matter to Siouxland. He believes in limited government, fiscal responsibility, and the traditional family values that have always been the bedrock of our community. Christopher will be a strong voice for us in Des Moines, always standing on conviction and never backing down from a fight.

Cutting Taxes & Growing Our Economy

Iowa’s tax policies are holding us back. Christopher knows that for our community to thrive, we must be able to compete with our neighbors in South Dakota and Nebraska. For too long, high taxes have driven businesses and opportunities away. That’s why Christopher will work to completely eliminate the state income tax.

Inflation remains a top concern for families in our area. Because of inflation, ensuring taxpayers keep more of what they earn is not just good policy—it’s a necessity. Christopher believes we must make the government in Des Moines smaller and your wallet bigger. He will champion tax cuts and create an economic environment that attracts high-paying, family supporting jobs to Sioux City so our children and grandchildren have a reason to stay, work, and raise their families right here in Iowa. As a small business owner, Christopher knows what it takes to create those jobs and he will bring that experience with him to the Iowa Senate.

Securing the Border & Ending Illegal Immigration

Illegal immigration was the single most important issue in the last presidential campaign, and Christopher Prosch could not agree more. He believes we must have a secure border and supports President Trump’s efforts to crack down on illegal immigration. It has been having a huge impact on our state, costing taxpayers in housing, healthcare, and education. In Des Moines, Christopher will be a strong advocate for securing our communities and ensuring dangerous illegal immigrants do not threaten the safety of our families.

Empowering Parents & Prioritizing Education

Our schools should be focused on academic excellence, not woke ideologies. Christopher knows Iowa schools must be focused on preparing students for the rigors of the modern economy. The best way to prepare the next generation is returning to the basics: reading, writing, and math fundamentals. He will fight to keep harmful and divisive concepts out of the classroom and ensure that parents have the ultimate say in their children’s education. He will also be a champion for Iowa’s families, defending legislation that protects girls’ sports by ensuring they compete only against other biological females.

Protecting the Unborn

Christopher is a strong pro-life conservative who believes life is a precious gift from God that must be protected. For him, this is not a political issue; it is a moral conviction. Christopher knows the unborn cannot defend themselves and so they need someone to stand up for them and give them an opportunity at life, the first of the rights promised to Americans in the Declaration of Independence.
